I have read the comments below, and it sounds like you have a vacuum booster under the driver floor pan. I just did my breaks with new master and 4 wheel cylinders and rebuilt my vac booster. Break the bleeder in top of the booster and get clear fluid, crack the line at the "t" after it leaves the booster. I f you don't get fluid then it is in the booster, if it has fluid start bleeding from the wheel furthest from the master.
It was easy to rebuild the vac booster, I got parts from VPW but they were for the wrong booster, mine has a 10" diaphragm and the one they sell is for one with a 8" diaphragm. I cleaned it, cut new gaskets from gasket material and reassembled it, works good. My main concern was I was going to use DOT5 and heard it is not compatible with normal break fluid. It costs more bur doesn't adsorb moisture and or peal paint.
