I wrote a story for Army motors on a Studebaker 6x6 truck I found here in North Carolina in a swamp. On the trucks doors was the ALCAN road embalm. A few months later I got a letter from the MVPA. Inside was a letter, the 40th anniversary ALCAN convoy carried the whole trip. On the letter was the United States stamp, and the Canadian stamp honoring the 40th anniversary of the ALCAN highway. Everywhere the convoy stopped, they got the local post office to stamp the letters. I was floored by this gift from the MVPA, it was there way of thanking me for the story I wrote.I have the letter on display in my house.
