The only thing I am aware of was there was a run of NP205s with syncros and the spline counts for the yokes where different. Besides that stuff interchanged just fine.
My NP205 Has a Dodge 29 spline input a Ford 31 spline out put to the rear and a Chev 32 spline out put to the front. That is in a old Chev NP205 case that was bored out to the large bearing size. Never ran across an issue with the gears interchanging, but maybe I am lucky.
