most likely the fusible link the large unmarked red wire in harness to firewall thru plug. same problem with 61-71 mopars. we used to drill through the firewall connector and install a #8 wire straight from the pos terminal on the starter relay through a 50a circuit breaker then direct to fuse panel in dash. did this on our many w300 and w500 69-74 wreckers, never had another failure or problem!the only way to tell if the link has died is to check with an ohm meter from one end to the other.
