hi greg i had the same problem when i put a pw cab on my wc63 i machined a set of tapered shims to place between the box and the frame with tapered washers on the outside of the frame for the bolts to seat against, it made the column shift about 3-4 degrees and ended up perfectly centered at the dash support point, yes the steering whell is askew but oly about 1.5 degrees inside the cab and so far no one has ever noticed it. i have had it like this for about 12 years now with many serious wheeling trips including moab and jarbidge and have had zero troubles with it. the pittman arm is fine too even with the slight angle and no steering anomolies have appeared. the shimsare approx 1/8" thick at the rear mount and 3/16" thick at the forward mounts with a 3 degree taper.
