The Hydraulic cylinders hold the bed locked down. It would be easy to lock the bed in place with just a small lever and pin going into the dump bed frame. I can leave the bed up for more than 3 days and it will only come down about 1/8". I have a leg to support the bed when working under it but it never goes tight so no leaks.
