I've had my '55 Power Wagon for about 8 years. The other day looking at the speedometer I realized for the first time that unlike the other markings the '80' is actually shown as '08'? The probable reason I never noticed this before is that for the first 5 or 6 years the speedo was inoperative and since then the needle rarely passes the zero side of 40. Maybe the 80 was displayed that way to make it easier to read, though for what reason I don't know, as the only way my Flat Fender could approach that point would be upon brake failure on the down side of a steep mountain road. Are all year PW Speedometers that way, or is mine an oddball?
