does it need to go past the spline or stop where the spline stops
they pointed out also that transition from spline to smooth can be a problem and if it is not accurately done it can cause fatigue and failure as they pointed out in the pics i showed em of dylan s aftermarket shafts
we could be looking at quality problems in fabrication as in tempering and spline to no spline transission
