The price sounds horrible but all prices for everything are horrible nowadays.
More deep thoughts, fwiw:
1. Metallic green will look amazing even if the job is less than perfect. Power Wagons own their colors, even school bus yellow.
2. I don't think it matters for resale - your choice might appeal to more buyers than a stock choice. A PW is already an oddball vehicle and it appeals to oddball people, many who don't know and don't care what colors were available from Dodge. It will disturb a few of us, which is not always a bad thing.
3. The cool thing about owning a civilian truck is that anything goes. Make it pretty or paint it safety orange with a brush - there is no incorrect historical context. Unlike military trucks, who just want military paint. Or at least a hillbilly camo. I've talked to them and that's what they say. Sorry Paul. :)
4. I like industrial enamel, camo or a single color on everything. It oxidizes flat. $200 in undercoating and about $50 for the body. Never worry about a scratch, hardly ever wash it. That's fun for me. By the same token - if the paint matters a lot to you and you look forward to shining and polishing, it will be way more fun to do it if the truck is the color you imagined about instead of the color somebody else thought you were supposed to have.
