Everything is finally ready for final touches and paint on my 52 B-3-PW. The cab, hood, and radiator shell are original and the bed is all repo from Matt Tisdale and Mar-K. That's all I'm getting painted. This is the first time sending anything to paint so dont what to ask. I've decided to go with a local shop that is highly recommended for both quality and price. Briefly talked to the owner and showed him some parts. He agreed to do the work (most shops around me only do collision/insurance work) and can squeeze me in next month, which is good because he is extremely busy. He said a rough estimate is between 10-15K but he bills by time and materials. He says primer, paint, and clear will be close to $2500 alone. Does the price point seem reasonable? What would you do different if you could go back in time before your truck painted?

Also, I'm having second thoughts on paint. I wanted to go with a nontraditional paint (dark metallic green (Ford color)), but don't want to be shunned by the PW community. My second choice is black. I know it's my truck and my choice for paint but would the metallic green be so off base with these trucks as to hurt resale?

Thanks for the advice.
