"I don't think some of you realize how much easier it is to find parts today, what with the net."

Boy you got that right Chris!

I remember 1980. Something simple like, "What oil filter should I use in my WDX?" I had to search for miles around to find some old guy behind a counter who actually knew what a Power-Wagon was, remembered what element actually fit the canister, and was willing to climb the stairs to the attic to root through boxes of obsolete parts that had been stored for a couple of decades - all for a $3.00 filter. Or, I had to search for Power-Wagon experts by taking a chance on names of people listing Power-Wagons for sale in Hemmings Motor New and then call, or more likely write, them and wait maybe weeks for an answer.

But, in my case anyway, I think it made me appreciate my Power-Wagon more than some people do today because I earned the lessons I learned by hard work and perseverance as there was no internet, Power-Wagon forums, or Power-Wagon magazines for quick answers.

Learning about Power-Wagons is a journey that one should be embrace.
