Caleche is seriously rock-hard when dried over millennia. We also have black "gumbo," and red (sandy) clay loam. In SW TX, there's bentonite galore and pockets of sand that'll teach a truck how to swim.

As for PW tires, that tread is a little "new-looking" for my personal taste. I'm just persnickety that way sometimes.
