I went to the suggested web site and posted this question. The only response suggests that I put metal inserts in and weld in and finish without using any filler. They said that metallic paints like mine are almost impossible to match. The truck was just painted in 1981 and I hate to rework a "fresh job" but I will probably need to bite the bullet and go ahead with a full repaint. Several areas of the roof are starting to show rust so maybe this will be a good thing after all. When you guys repaint, do you sand and repaint the inside of the fender wells? Just wondering.
