I have removed the military style shielded distributor from my M-37 and replaced it with a civilian mechanical advance distributor. I have the timing set at 4 BTDC at idle. This gives me about 15 degrees advance at 2500 RPM. Any suggestions on an appropriate setting? It is a stock M-37 with original 230CI lazy six perverted to 12V.
