I assume you have a 'flat fender':
The hood doesn't have a pin, one side is rolled tightly, almost solid. Other side is rolled into it about 270 deg.. On my 41 the 'pin' is broken, I welded 2in of rod to it. The 'pin' inserts into a bracket on each end, thats what keeps hood in position. Grind out the weld between each side, leave a 'pin' at each end. Rear should look like front. To remove hood w/out unscrewing the flat head screws at the brackets, unscrew your radiator tie rods, forcing radiator further from cab.
