And yeah, I don't believe for a minute that he got the nut (plus wheel, plus brake drum, etc) hot enough to melt wax just using a lighter. Try it like that for any length of time and the metal part on the end of the lighter will get hot, melt the plastic, and fall off. The wax method obviously works some of the time, but you need a real torch. His lug nuts didn't look very rusty to me, anyway.
