How much pressure does the fuel pump supply? It might be fine until it gets under full throttle. If the pump is down to say 3lb, the 251 might be using more than the pump can supply - need about 4lb. If you had an electric pump you could check by bypassing the mechanical one. Also agree with another comment about the condenser, thy can break down under load.
