Yep one of the best engines around. Does sound like injector to me as well, there are shops that specialize strictly in repairing and rebuilding injectors. They typically work on bigger equipment like cat etc. but I've found out they will rebuild my dodge and ford injectors for about 1/2 of ordering new. My shop in El Paso Texas is called south west fuel injection. I've sent em down all the injectors, they test and fix the ones that are out of spec and send em back to me. Been using them for 20 yrs plus now.
