Crystalline Silica is what causes silicosis, in layman term, marble, sandstone, slate brick, concrete, etc. when cut, pulverized (jack hammered)etc, What we call Glass(windows, bottles) when pulverized or sawn do not produce the crystalline silica that causes silicosis.
I worked with the neighbor driving his pan, dozer, and other equipment. He always said "You will eat 2 bushels of dirt before you die". He was close, we all have eaten our share of dust containing crystalline silica.
I hope what they see is not a health threat other than impacting your breathing, where you won't be running a marathon but can continue on every day chores. Good Luck with the results.
