Just reinstalled the starter in my 360 for the third time after getting it back from rebuild shop again. They admit they're stumped as to why it won't turn over at all after you drive the WDX a few minutes and temp reaches about 205 degrees. After sitting for a while she quickly starts back up. Even though starter is very hot to touch after 15-20 minutes running down the road, the wires are cool (no grounding issues)and the area near the starter doesn't throw off much heat (don't think a heat shield will help as heat soak isn't a problem). This starter has the solenoid mounted on the frame so one suggestion from the rebuild shop was get a rebuilt unit (there are no new ones available) with the solenoid on the starter. Duh!
