I might suggest the Renewable Energy Lab is funded by and has a very biased liberal agenda. 30 years ago you could let the fuel sit in a lawn mower over the winter. Today you can't. Talk to a local small engine repair shop and much of their business is repairing or replacing carburetors. That was not the case before corn gas....

I run aviation gas (no alcohol) in all my off road non-diesel engines. It can sit (and is guaranteed) for over a year and runs fine when you go to start it. That is simply not the case with corn gas. The phase separation turns it into jello.

And.... Alcohol is hydroscopic. It attracts water and causes corrosion, especially in aluminum castings.

If you have the option to buy alcohol free gas it is a better product.

And.. if you think you are having vapor lock issues in your PW, try running some ethanol free.....
