I like the fact that the fence is made out of nicely-ground cast iron just like the bed and it locks down solidly. I don't like how easily it gets out of alignment with the T bar and how hard it is to adjust. But I've used that saw ever since I was a teenager and I'm used to the fact that if I want a smooth cut I have to measure from the fence to both the front and back of the saw blade or to one of the miter grooves before I lock it down. I don't know that any of the stock fences on 10" saws are really good enough to remain perfectly parallel to the blade when moved. There are aftermarket fences that claim to be a lot better, but I've never used one and for my purposes the Craftsman is fine. If I had a large enough shop to build the saw into a large enough table to handle full sheets of plywood, I would add one of the aftermarket fences.
