I have to agree with you. Plus they know that the city is lax and will provide "help" to them. Other west coast cities have caught on and tell their problem children to head for Seattle. Seattle is trying to make it much harder to close down the tenant cities.
There has been a tent city in my area for several years. They claim all people in it are from the local counties. Bull. They also check for outstanding warrants and sex offenders. Everyone else is welcome. We find lots of drug stuff around the camps and the parks are trashed. Plus the ones that can't get in live in the woods around the area. The cops try to keep things clean but when their bosses at the county sign all the permits for the camps it makes it hard for them to speak out at all.
