Never having a sun visor I have no first hand info, however I always thought the side brackets were set in a 'fixed' position once proper visor positioning was established. I suppose they could be loosened to allow the windshield to open but would have to be re-tightened to prevent visor from flying up or down during high speed Power Wagon driving...lol. Still believe center clamps would have to remain loose, or be loosened, to accomplish windshield movement.
