Are you trying to install with the transmission in the truck? If so you have to take the top cover of the tranny off and 4 bolts that hold the tranny to the bell housing and rotate the tranny counter clockwise to install. Once installed, rotate the tranny back and bolt everything up. An assistant is very helpful to do this.
