Putting a preference on a particular year is difficult when the changes were so subtle over the 20 year period.
That said, the value of a 1946 will always be more than an equal 1949, just because the two trucks are almost identical & the 1946 was the first year of production.
For me, power steering...rare enough that it's not worth discussing, power brakes...almost makes no difference on these trucks with the hydrovac installed.
The early trucks are just king with the rear PTO's, governors, etc. The dash is so much better looking that it's like comparing apples to oranges & basically the only real advantage the newer trucks had was a few extra hp & syncros...but let's be serious...syncros are for those that aren't able to drive a truck.
My vote...a 1946 WDX will always be the most valuable FFPW.
