After the issue I had with the Fuel gauge (posted below) I decided to try the Heat gauge to see if worked. I found a spare sending unit in my stash that looked like it would fit the 318 engine, and I hooked it up to the gauge and 12v. At room temp it read just above Cold. After running a hair dryer on it for a couple minutes I was barely able to hold it (150 deg?), and the gauge read about 1/3 of the way across the scale. I think we have a winner!
