The more that get modified the original ones will be worth more later. Worth more is a different subject. If you spend $35K fixing up a $10K PW is it worth more than the $10K PW that you can sell for 10K still and the fixed up one selling for 35K later? Your still out the 10K just to break even so you just lost $10.000.00 do to fixing it up.
