I think Dodges tended to come from the factory looking that way. The 2WD trucks from the 40s look like they need a ton of bricks in the bed to bring the fender down to fit the tire placement.

My '84W 350 looks the same as that W300 in the front when the wheels are turned. The camera angle may accentuate that some as well.

I moved my front spring mount forward a little to get the tire away from the back edge of the fender.
