For me a recap is not an option. I have had 5 or 6 sets of tires age out and crack in the side wall. That is way too many sets. Recaps are going to be on a old tire. I have run them all until they got lumpy but am starting to wonder about doing that. I do not care about a tire getting lumpy on a trip and my being able to make it home. I do care about a blow out at speed that happens in less than a second. The Carryall will see some high way use, using cracked tires on a hot road at 60 miles an hour strikes me as high on the stupid index.
