I went to one of those sales once. They would bring out a tool and auction it off just like a real auction. Then they would ask "who else wants one at that price?" A bunch of guys would hoold up their hands and they would all get one at the high bid price. The crowd never seemed to figure out that if they didnt bid the price up, everyone would get the tool for less. Crazy!
