My 49 was missing the pintle hitch and I was able to get an original one for it. Nefore I put the hitch on I greased the inside of it and it opened with no problem. After bolting it on it will not open. Seems to me the lever to release it can not pushed back enough to release the hitch. My question is was there a spacer between the hitch and the rear frame cross member to put the hitch away from the frame so the lever can be moved enough to open the hitch??? Our local legal wants to borrow my truck to pull the veterans in the 4th of July parade so I am trying to get this figured out. THanks for the help
