Judging by the few winches I have seen, Braden assembled their winches with off-the shelf bolts, not DCPD bolts.
Dan M posted a picture of several NOS winches he recently purchased. They had 2-tone primer on them. Maybe Braden's supplier used different primers, which didn't really matter because it was going to be painted over anyway.
