The IGN 2 might be a post on the starter relay. It's usually a small flat square box with batt cable and small wires, one is the neutral safety switch from the auto trans. But if you hook it to the ign switch 'start' lug, you'll need a diode in it, or the truck won't shut off when it gets electricity back from the other systems, But you might noit need it. See if it starts when cold, later?

Many of those era trucks had probs when the reg lost it's ground contact. I like to put star washers between reg can and body. And a body/frame/engine ground system too.

And that diagram is for a pointed ignition, not the later electronics.
