Bolt a flat piece of metal to the mounting plate on the end of the motor. Run it back towards the gear box. Then run a bolt through the cover mounting hole into the new bracket. You could also put a captured nut and spacers on the existing motor bracket then run a bolt through the valence through the spacers into the captured nut. That should stop the torque issues and you would only have 1 visable bolt.
