Thought I'd check here before shopping for NOS ones. Vandals broke the headlights on my D4 cat while it was being transported last year, and I decided since I'm re-doing the wiring (what little there is), it might actually be nice to have headlights on it. Better than driving back in the dark holding a flashlight. Anyway, according to the manual they cross to a 4078 par 46 bulb, 5-3/4" dia, which I'm pretty sure is the same as the PWs used. With all the people doing 12V conversions, I figure somebody has the old 6V bulbs in a box someplace and they might be willing to let loose of them for a modest price. Otherwise I might just stick a 12V battery in the cat, use 12V bulbs (easier to find) and forget about having the generator work. Not sure if it would be happy putting out 12V if I changed to a 12V reg or not, but I'm thinking "not", and of course not being belt-driven I can't just swap in a modern generator. Would be nice to spin the pony motor starter faster. But first I'm just looking for 6V bulbs.
