I just finished installing an AAW Highway 22 kit in my '51. Took about 100 hours to install to my satisfaction and I haven't loomed inside the cab yet. It's a good kit, just generic and requires a lot of triple checking before you cut leads to length.
You could save a lot of time for the $500-1000 you'd spend on the custom kits. Also don't underestimate the cost of connectors and other consumables.
