I having my old set of Michelin XL dismounted at Les Schwab. A guy that I have not seen before comes out to help me. He takes a look at my combat rims and says they cannot work with them. He says that they are too hard. I say BS. He says if they were split rims they could do them. I had already deflated the tires and taken all of the bolts off. I tell him that they fixed a flat in one less than a year ago. I also asked that they do not use a hammer. He say no way. I said you have done it in the past. So he goes to the computer to look at my account. Sure enough there are multiple times that they worked on them. So he said he needed to talk to the tech that did them before. I had a good talk with him and he said that they would do it.
