None of those little pulleys you mentioned have both a 100# wheel and tire, and a 400# axle housing to soak up their vibrations. This is a place where our huge unsprung weight works to our advantage. Plus we have a 50% chance that the drum/hob imbalance actually helps offset the tire/rim imbalance.
Though 2x the speed = 4x the energy, E=MC2, Our hubs go about 500 rpm, that little 10,000 rpm pulley I mentioned in another post was only 1 1/2 diam.
