My experience with balancing beads was not all puppies and kittens and rainbows.

The tire shop put them in my 2010 PW stating how great they were and semis use them and because my tires are so big I should too. The tire stems were given special red caps to indicate balancing beads inside.

I always had an annoying shake at highway speeds. It might smooth out for a few seconds but it always came back.

When I aired down my tires, at least one or more of them would get a bead stuck in the valve not letting it close. I'd have to use the air compressor to get it unstuck. It usually took many attempts. It was not fun and it always seemed to happen when I didn't have time for delays.

I went to the same tire store but different location. They wondered why the other store put balancing beads in. They put regular weights on and everything is smooth now. No BBs for me.
