Ebay's "policy" about unfair shipping prices was to change to charging the final value fee on the item price plus the shipping. It had gotten ridiculous with people selling things for next to nothing, with insane shipping charges, just to dodge ebay's fees. I charge a dollar extra for export, to cover the hassle of filling out the customs form, etc, and Canadian postage took a big jump a couple years ago, but $73.58 does seem way too high.
