I have the casting number from near the starter. 167 870729-8 So this is definitely a Desoto motor? No I have not checked the stroke. More than likely I will not be buying it. The guy at the scrap yard wants $150 for it. Not worth it for me to buy and sell it. It is a shame, motor turns over real smooth. When I am done pulling the other World War 2 parts of the rest of the drive train and frame, it will be chopped up, not long after that.
