I think they now sell 12 volt coils for the M37. What I did was I removed the bottom of the old coil and ran a spark plug wire into the center of the top I left, coming out the bottom to a remote 12 volt coil. Then you sue the original distributor points and such just run the points wire to the coil. Now I would look into a 12 v coil that fits inside like the old one.
