That is most Definitely a military VF 1.5 ton 4x4.
1) Front grill has holes for Brushguard.
2) Door panels are metal - dead giveaway of a military door.
3) Never heard of a civi 4x4 1.5 ton in those years.
4) Appears to have the holes in the rear window area of cab for the Window grill. Although that could be ordered on Civi. trucks of that era.
The one strange and unique thing I can see on this truck is the 6 volt VRY or quite possibly the 12 volt VRH voltage regulator installed in the truck. Out of the factory it should have been a VRP-4101-A 35 amp unit along with a GDZ-4801 Gen.
