They make a water-controlled choke adapter, which is my other option. It's kind of rinky-dink but it would probably work. Carb is a Weber 2-barrel synchronous. I'm not really sure how it works, as it doesn't seem to want much choke at all except from a totally cold-soaked start. The mechanism isn't entirely obvious to me. I haven't had any trouble with flooding on my Toyota 4-banger (progressive carb, electric choke) or my D300 slant 6 installation (synchronous carb, manual choke), but I think half the problem here is just the type of usage they have where it sits just long enough between runs for the electric choke to cool down and close, but not long enough for the engine to really get cold.
