I posted earlier this week that I found mold on the ceiling panel in my 51 PW after sitting for several months. I cleaned it up and left the truck sit in the sun for several days to let cab get warmed. Last night I went to put it away as they said possible rain. I get in and was overwhelmed by the smell of urine. Dang, I knew what that meant. I lifted the lower seat and peeked in. Sure enough a mouse nest and poop. Cleaned it out this morning. No damage to the seat the nest was made of paper that had fallen behind the seat and a piece of rope I had stored there. Most of the urine and poop was on the piece of carpet I placed under there to stop the jack from rattling. So I tossed the carpet, vacuumed and sprayed with Lysol. The area under the seat was undercoated when the truck was new so that helped also.
In the 30 years I have owned the truck I have never had a mouse in it until now. Next winter there will be rat poison or trap under the seat.
