I did a complete resto on a 79 Corvette this winter. The spare tire in the enclosed tire tub under the car has never seen the road. Its 100% original, not even marks of lug nuts.
Its one of the space saver spares. No cracking, mold tits still on the tread area.
It 37 years old, probably be good for another 50 years if kept in the totally enclosed tire tub.
