It took the guy a while to take his add down, because he was working very long shifts.
A friend who constantly prowls CL forwarded the ad to me almost immediately. He advertised it for $700 less than I sold it in 2001. I didn't even wait for him to answer the phone. I grabbed my cash and drove straight to his doorstep.
A benefit of delivering a vehicle when you sell it is that you know where it is. I had actually driven by his house a few months ago just curious if the truck was still around and if any clues to its current condition could be seen from the road. I probably thought about the truck more in the last decade than he did. It was pretty much untouched in his garage most of that time.
