I cannot swear to it but, I believe the answer is no, the original WM300 PTO will not work with the NV4500.
My ideal method of up-grade to our PWs would be to retro-fit the part needed while keeping as many original parts as possible. Actually I don't remember anyone suggesting making an adapter to fit between the NV4500 and the original PTO as I've seen in my "S" series Dodge technical service manual on pg. 21-67. The WM300 doesn't use one but it seems like it might be a easy task for someone setup to make such things,I volunteer "RAY".So how about it Ray,think you could do it? Would you do it ?
One main problem is that most original parts won't work with retro-fitted parts and few have the ingenuity to adapt them so they replace original stuff with retro stuff so they don't have to engineer and build an adapter.
There is one positive thing about people not having the desire or ingenuity to adapt original to retro parts is that, it leaves more good original parts available for those who don't retro-fit !
