Chris, I agree completely. "Power Ram" is a marketing construct. I consider it negative. To me it brings up an image of a mountain goat with a V8 "rammed" up its--well, you know where. "Wagon" sounds old, non-truck to these effete city slickers who run the auto companies today. Its sad.
The same people are responsible for "inflating" the model number designation. If Chevy has a 3/4 ton model 2500, then it must be better than a Dodge 250, right? Ugh! These people are selling "image" not trucks. Fortunately, the engineers have not yet completely succumbed to this--My '93 W250 Cummins is still pretty much a truck, although it has quite a few "creature features" laid on. I fear that real trucks have only a few more years before they become soccer mom transporters.
